very sturdy, well made conectors

I picked these up to test with an 8 panel setup, currently in 2x2 series, 100w panels.
Being that my panels were all connected in series to an inverter that will take up to 1200w, via 4 connections, I figured this would be a good time to take 4 panels...keeping them in 2x2 in series, but then add 2 sets of panels and connect then in parallel to the inverter with the use of these connectors.
These are very sturdy, well made connectors and gave me no problems with connections. I connected these to Renogy solar extension cables, and they snapped together easily, but tight connection.
No issues at all.

High quality, thick stiff cables

I have 4 solar panels that I have to put in parallel due to my solar controller not being rated for high enough voltage for me to use series. I usually use T connectors for my solar setup, but was looking to move to Y connectors to to add another 4 and to allow for a little more flexibility in my connections. These are pretty thick cables, either 12 or 10 gauge, and let me carry the 20-30 amps I need without them heating up too much. They do still get warm, but it's not any worse than my T connectors. The connections themselves are tight and snug, no complaints there. Good quality and value

Good for mobile setups like camping or day at the park

The product detail page says they're rated for 30A but they don't feel like 10AWG wire and on the branch side of the connector it says 4mm so that means the branch side is 12AWG. They do have the TUV logo on the outer jacket so it means they are certified by TUV. The MC4 cables are IP67 rated and they snap together firmly and don't disconnect with a sharp tug. The cables are stiff but well made. The branch connectors are good for portable solar setups where you might need to set up parallel folding panels for the day or the weekend for camping or day outings or wherever you need portable power from more than one panel.

Great Extra Pair of Solar Y Connectors

Since having multiple solar systems for my new house. I ordered these Y connectors to see how they would do. Got a easy, good fit. The fit was a tight seal. These connectors are great for wiring multiple solar panels. They are sturdy and thick. The AIRTAK Solar Y Branch Connectors are a great price point and would recommend them.
