100 Watt Portable Solar Panel,Starter Kit

Needed a replacement for a controller in use for years, not this type. This one was easy to install and set up.

Put in service three days ago with one 50ah lithium battery running a DC water pump and radio. Working perfectly so far. Only criticism: print is way too small on dinky operating sheet.

If you are looking for performance in a 100W portable solar panel this is a great choice. The included MC4 6 in 1 connection adapter gives great connection flexibility. The one connecter it was missing for me was SAE but I just use a DC to SAE cable for that. Where it shines is output performance. On a sunny Fall afternoon I was getting as much as 5.7 amps which was getting right near it's 100W rating. I benched it against another 100W panel that I always thought a very good performer and this panel was giving an amp better under the same conditions My only criticism was the 4 panel layout compared to some other 2 and 3 100W panels made this a bit more unwieldy to handle and set up. For this level of performance I can live with that .

100 watt portable solar panels come in basically two varieties - 2 panel or 4 panel. 2 panel are easier to set up with two kickstands, 4 panels usually have 3 which I think is just a bit more work to get them all correct. This set has 4 panels, a nice magnetic handle and what seems to be some tough fabric material that should last almost forever. A generous sized pocket that you can add other items to. The kicker on this set is the really nice adapter cord that has just about any connection you can think of. There is really no standard out there, so this has all your bases covered. I plugged this into three different solar generators without any issue. I tested during the fall and couldn't get a really high wattage rating but when I compared it to another known panel it was about the same percent, so I'll go out on a limb and say this panel should get 80-85 watts under better conditions.

My first impressions upon opening the solar panel was that it looks like a good quality item. There are a couple magnets that hold the panel closed and they are just the right strength to hold it together when closed without making it difficult to open the panel.
